Swim and dive team practice begins Aug. 13

The Two Harbors-Silver Bay high school swim and dive team will start Monday, Aug. 13.

The team is open to Two Harbors and Silver Bay girls going into seventh to 12th grades.

Practices will be Mondays to Thursdays from 3-6 p.m. Diving practice will be from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Fridays and swimming will be from 2-5 p.m.

When school begins, swim practices will be after school until 6:30 p.m. and dive practice will end around 7 p.m. Friday practices won't change.

Meet at the Two Harbors High School pool. Bring a swim cap, goggles, suit, dry-land clothes and tennis shoes.

There will also be a parents meeting Monday, Aug. 13, at 6 p.m. after practice on the pool bleachers. Parents will have an opportunity to ask questions, receive schedules, eligibility paperwork, fees and discuss the upcoming season.

Students going into seventh grade or any student joining a sport for the first time need a sports physical prior to the first day of practice.
