Silver Bay running back Mason Ollman was named to the Minnesota Nine-Man All-State team by nine-man coaches around the state Saturday, Nov. 23.
Ollman led the Mariners to an 8-3 record and a spot in the Section 7 Nine-Man championship game.
He was the area leader in rushing yards with 1,297 in 2019 and scored 15 touchdowns. Though he was named to the team as a running back, Ollman also recorded 65 tackles for Silver Bay as a linebacker.
Earlier in November, Ollman, along with teammates Riley Tiboni, Ero Wallin and Luc Stadler were named to the All-Northeast Blue Subdistrict first team and Zack Frederickson, Derek Thompson and Hunter Dow received honorable mentions.
The Mariners also swept the Blue Subdistrict individual award with Ollman named MVP, Wallin named MVP lineman and head coach Ward Kaiser was named Coach of the Year.
