Two Harbors junior Tori Bott scored 17 points to lead the Agates to a 56-52 win over Barnum on Thursday, Dec. 21, in Barnum.

The Agates took a 32-30 lead into halftime and despite struggling a little offensively in the second half, they held off the Bombers for the win.

In addition to Bott, Carina Hebl hit three 3-pointers and scored 14 points for Two Harbors and senior Katie Archer hit a pair from long range and had eight points. Other scorers for Two Harbors included Tricia Osbakken with seven points, Brianna Hiukka and Emily Olson with three each and Mary Libby and Elise Poe-Johnson with two each.

Barnum's Emily Miletich led all scorers with 21 points, but no other Bomber scored more than seven points thanks to a stout effort by the Agates on the defensive end.

The second round starts Friday, Dec. 29, at 10 a.m. with the loser of Silver Bay and Two Harbors playing the loser of Duluth Denfeld and Cook County. The winners will play at 11:30 a.m.
