Two Harbors native Jessie Juenemann earned All-American honors for the second straight season after finishing eighth in the discus at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships May 23-25 in Geneva, Ohio.
A junior at Hamline University in St. Paul, Juenemann finished eighth at the meet with a best throw of 144 feet, 10 inches. The throw was 10 feet further than her best throw at the 2019 national championships, where she also finished eighth.
Christian Beamer, also a Two Harbors native, just missed on his own All-American honors at the 2019 national championships. Beamer, a sophomore at St. Mary's University of Minnesota in Winona, finished 10th in the nation with a best jump of 6 feet, 6 inches.
