I am a landlubber of almost 65 years. As a kid, I visited Lake Superior with my grandparents, who lived in Duluth. Watching the ships enter the harbor, I held a sense of awe and respect for the water and the people who had the opportunity to sail the lake.
The fate of the Edna G. should not go the way of a museum, hotel or restaurant, but rather like any other vessel that plied the Great Lakes, she deserves the respect of the water. She continues to sail the waters or she is respectfully sent on her final voyage.
