January 9, 1950-January 6, 2020 Paul passed away peacefully at home with his family on Monday, January 6, 2020.
Paul was born to Don Francis Redden and Dorothy Arlys (Perkins) Redden in Forest City, Iowa on January 9, 1950. As the eldest brother in a large family including 9 brothers and sisters, Paul began his journey as the ultimate “family man”. Paul met the love of his life, Georgia Aaseby, in April 1968 and they were married July 27, 1968. Together they built a beautiful life and family. They have 4 children, Lisa, Trudy, Meghann, and Benjamin. Paul was an entrepreneur and business owner throughout his life, working in landscaping in his younger years and later doing roofing, construction, and painting. His most recent position was as a driver delivering for his son’s business, Ben Redden Transport. Paul’s favorite pastimes included time with family. He loved to barbecue, go hunting or fishing, and spend time watching his favorite shows. Paul made friends wherever he went and could often be found conversing with neighbors and friends and telling stories or providing guidance to others. He was a man of great faith, and made time daily for prayer and meditation.
Paul was preceded in death by: His parents, Don and Dorothy Redden, Audrey Redden; Sisters Linda Eakman and Rita Andresen; Brother John Redden; Parents in-law George and Mavis Aaseby; Brother-in-law Mitch Aaseby; Nephew Dylan Aaseby; and Great-Granddaughter Madisen Redden.
Paul is survived by his wife, Georgia Redden, 4 Children: Lisa Redden (Chad Greenwood), Trudy (Dan) Kjenstad, Meghann Whiting, and Benjamin (Liz) Redden; 12 Grandchildren: Samantha (Jarome Watson) and Casey Redden, Danielle (Johnny) Wadsworth, Katelyn (Chad Molitor) and Bradley Kjenstad, Aidan, Hope, and Charlie Whiting; Bentley, Rylee, Carly, and Brody Redden; 7 Great-Grandchildren: Jayde and Jewel Holmes, Levi and Liam Wadsworth, Easton Molitor, Parker Redden and Ryker Meittunen; 6 Siblings: Cathy (Brian) Malone, Jane Sundin, Mona (Bob) Williams, Dwight (Arlys) Redden, Mark (Dyann) Redden, and Kevin (Leanne) Redden; Sister-in-law Bonnie Redden; 29 Nieces and Nephews; and numerous Great-Nieces and Nephews.
Private Funeral Services will be held for immediate family, and a Celebration of Life for family and friends will take place on Saturday, January 11, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at the Two Harbors Moose Lodge. To honor Paul, please wear something you feel comfortable in, as he hated dressing up, or join our family in wearing flannel in his honor.
