Tuesday: We are finally going to see some sunshine today and a break from the snow and wintry precipitation as our pesky storm finally pulls away to the east. That being said, colder air and breezy conditions wrapping in behind the system will still contribute to a few slick spots and icy conditions on some roads this morning, but conditions should improve throughout the day. Other than a few lingering lake effect snow showers on the South Shore this morning, sunshine will move in with a colder afternoon high near 24 degrees.

Tuesday night: We can expect partly cloudy skies and colder conditions tonight for those New Year’s Eve celebrations. We are looking at an overnight low near 10°.

Wednesday: Clouds will increase once again on New Year’s Day, but overall we should just see mostly cloudy skies with a chance of a few light snow showers in the afternoon and evening. Temperatures will top out right around 26 degrees.

The rest of the week looks much quieter as we kick off the new year with only slight chances of a few flurries towards the end of the week along with temperatures that are a bit colder and closer to our seasonal average.
