Your forecast for today: Very cold temperatures will remain in place once again today, and for the rest of the week with afternoon highs running some 10 to 20 degrees below average for this time of the year. We are starting off this morning with some cloud cover that rolled in overnight and has actually kept temperatures from getting quite as frigid. Other than a stray flurry or two, we should see some clearing skies and sunshine this afternoon, but it will stay cold with a high near 28 degrees.

Tonight: Partly cloudy skies will stick with us this evening and into the overnight hours. Temperatures will plummet overnight to a frigid low near 10 degrees.

Tomorrow: We should see plenty of sunshine for our Thursday as an arctic high-pressure system slides across this region. This means that temperatures will again stay very cold despite the sunshine with a high of only 25 degrees.

It looks like the well below average temperatures are here to stay with us through the week with highs struggling to reach the freezing mark into the weekend. Temperatures will push into the lower 30s Friday and Saturday with a chance of light snow Saturday.
