Your forecast for today: We are off to a cold and frosty start this morning after many areas dropped into the 20s overnight. The good news is that we are under clear skies and we will see plenty of sunshine to help rebound temperatures quickly today. By this afternoon temperatures will top out near 49 degrees and we will likely even see some low 50s around the region. Southwest winds will be a little breezy with gusts up to 25 mph, but those winds will also help bring in the milder temperatures.

Tonight: High pressure remains in control of our weather pattern tonight and keeps the clear skies around. Thanks to a light southerly breeze though, temperatures won’t drop quite as far with a low near 35 degrees.

Tomorrow: We can expect sunshine in the morning with partly cloudy skies later in the day. Temperatures will be the warmest we have seen all week with an afternoon high near 52 degrees.

A very weak cold front will push through the area Saturday night into Sunday morning. That may bring a few spotty rain and snow showers Saturday night, but the biggest difference we will notice will be the cooler temperatures back into the low 40s on Sunday. Another reinforcing shot of colder air moves in next week with some of the coldest temperatures of the season expected.
