Your forecast for today: A cold front moving through the region this morning will create for a wet morning commute with showers and a few thunderstorms lingering across the area. The severe threat looks very low with this round of showers and storms, but we will see some lightning and gusty winds as the storms roll through early this morning. The showers will move out quickly and by late morning we will see a few peeks of sunshine. Highs this afternoon will top out around 78 degrees with a breezy northwest wind gusting up to 20 mph.
Tonight: Any remaining clouds this afternoon will clear out quickly with a clear and cool night expected. The clear skies and lower humidity will allow temperatures to drop to an overnight low near 52 degrees.
Tomorrow: Cooler and drier air will settle in behind Wednesday’s cold front. This will make for a very pleasant Thursday with plenty of blue skies and sunshine with a high near 74 degrees. The one downside is that it will be quite breezy once again with a northwest breeze gusting up to 20 mph.
The drier and cooler pattern will continue into Friday with more sunshine and mid-70s expected. The weekend may start off a bit wetter on Saturday with rain possible, but Sunday is still looking nice and sunny.
