Your forecast for today: We will start out the morning under partly cloudy skies and much calmer conditions than what many areas across Northern Minnesota dealt with last night. The heat and humidity will begin to build back into the region with an afternoon high near 83 degrees. Along with the increasing humidity will come a chance of a few afternoon showers and storms, but the severe threat looks much lower than yesterday. We still can't rule out an isolated stronger storm or two popping up.

Tonight: Any isolated showers or storms this evening should taper off rather quickly under partly cloudy skies overnight. Temperatures will stay warm only dropping to near 66 degrees.

Tomorrow: The heat and humidity, along with more storm chances, continues on Friday. The best chance of thunderstorms will be during the afternoon and evening hours as temperatures top out near 85 degrees under partly cloudy skies.

We will finally cool back down into the mid to upper 70s over the weekend with just a very slim chance of a passing shower or two Saturday morning and again on Sunday.
