Your forecast for today: After the rain held off for much of the Grandma’s Marathon activities over the weekend, it has finally arrived to start the work week. We can expect a soggy Monday as widespread rainfall and showers move through the region. The rainfall will become more hit and miss by the afternoon, but that is when we will see the chance for a few thunderstorms to develop. Temperatures should climb to a high near 69 degrees. Up to an inch of rain is possible.
Tonight: We will see a few showers and a rumble of thunder this evening before things begin to quiet down overnight. Temperatures will remain mild with an overnight low near 56 degrees.
Tomorrow: We should start off Tuesday morning with some sunshine, but another system passing to our north will bring a chance of scattered thunderstorms by the afternoon hours. The severe threat looks low with these storms, but it will be enough to cool us down a little bit after a warm afternoon high near 77 degrees.
A nice warming trend moves in by the middle of the week and into the weekend with highs topping out in the upper 70s and 80s each day with off and on chances of afternoon scattered thunderstorms.
