Rep. Pete Stauber, R-Hermantown, raised more than a quarter-million dollars in campaign funds during the first quarter of 2019, according to an email from his campaign staff.
The Pete Stauber for Congress Volunteer Committee said it raised $277,488.63 in the quarter from January through March. The committee has until Monday to file their figures with the Federal Election Commission.
All candidates are required to disclose money raised and spent by their official campaigns.
Stauber was elected to represent the 8th Congressional District last November. He’s not made it official, but all indications so far show he’ll run for re-election in 2020.
Stauber’s campaign ended 2018 with $18,336 in cash on hand, according to election commission figures, after peaking at nearly $1.8 million.
The next reporting due date is July 15.
