The Lake Superior School Board on Tuesday, Nov. 12, approved a resolution supporting a minimum legal sales age of 21 for tobacco products in the city of Two Harbors.

In October, Amanda Cassady of the American Lung Association visited the board asking for support for the Tobacco 21 policy to help curb the vaping epidemic. At the time, board gave informal support and requested administration draft an official resolution.

The board unanimously supported the resolution; board member Dean Korri was absent.
