The Lake Superior School District school board canvassed the results of the 2018 school board election at the recent meeting on Nov. 13.

Steven VanHouse will be the new board member for District 1, covering the City of Silver Bay. He received 781 votes.

District 2, covering UT1, Crystal Bay, Beaver Bay and Fall Lake will be represented by Tracy Tiboni, who received 442 votes.

Tom Burns will retain his seat for District 5, representing wards 3 and 4 of Two Harbors. He received 802 votes.

No one filed to run for the seat in District 7, which represents the Town of Alden and the Town of Duluth. However, Dean Korri received 86 write-in votes, winning the seat. The board reached out to Korri and he accepted the position.
