The Two Harbors and Silver Bay robotics team competed at the regional competition in Duluth last weekend.

The Silver Bay team has some issues with the connection between the robot and the drive system, but the team finished 19th overall out of 60 teams. Silver Bay coach Chris Belanger said the connection really hurt the team points wise, but all in all the students had fun.

The Two Harbors team did a little better by being picked for an alliance in the quarterfinals round by one of the top eight teams. Two Harbors coach Lauren Burton said after the team was selected for the quarter finals, they reached fifth place, but were soon knocked out.

According to Burton, one of the biggest honors of the day was that Two Harbors' electronic captain Brynn Torgerson won the Dean's List Award. Out of 60 teams, two students are selected and the honor opens the door for scholarship opportunities, Burton said.
