The Lake County Community Connect Resource Fair is returning Oct. 30 to Two Harbors.

Hosted by AEOA and Beacons of Hope, the event offers Lake County residents a chance to learn about available community resources in one place - resources like food, financial and disability assistance, senior services, domestic abuse aid, Teen Challenge and more.

Free resources will be available, including personal hygiene products, door prizes, haircuts and snacks. Visit with vendors and program representatives; seek assistance for personal and family needs; and find out ways to be involved locally.

The event is modeled after the national Project Homeless Connect events around the United States that provide multiple services in one location in one day. The Lake County Community Connect differs because it serves not only those experiencing homelessness, but households struggling to meet basic needs.

The Community Connect Resource Fair will be in the AEOA building bus garage, 2124 10th St. Busing will be available through Arrowhead Transit.
