The Marek Fuller Community Garden in Two Harbors is looking for gardeners to lend their green thumbs this season.

The community garden, which donates a portion of its produce to the Two Harbors Area Food Shelf, has 39 4-by-16-foot plots. If that is too big for just one person, groups can sign up for a plot, too.

The Garden Kick-Off on Saturday, May 19, at 10 a.m. will help gardeners get started. Tools, seeds, water and resources are provided for free.

Inexperienced gardeners are encouraged to apply and veteran gardeners are available to help.

The deadline for applications is April 30. The plots are assigned on a first-come,

first-served basis.

Applications are available at the Two Harbors Area Food Shelf, 2424 10th St.
