A new program offering people with arthritis a chance to get active will start July 21 in Two Harbors.

Walk With Ease is a six-week program that offers support, information and tools the help participants with arthritis develop a successful exercise routine. Participants will learn proper stretching and pain management techniques while building stamina and walking pace. The programs can be tailored to each participant, regardless of where they are at in terms of mobility.

Classes will be taught by instructors from Community Partners, a Two Harbors nonprofit that helps seniors stay in their homes. The program costs $10 and classes will be held Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays for six weeks. Each session lasts an hour.

Contact Community Partners at commpart@frontiernet.net or (218) 834-8024 to register. The first class will start at 1 p.m. on July 21 at the AGE to age place in the Two Harbors Community Center.
