Two Harbors Public Library
Tax Forms Update
The federal government is printing tax forms and instruction booklets to be made available at the library again. Thus far we have received the forms, but not the instruction booklets nor originals for any additional forms/schedules you may need.
We hope they will arrive by early February, but cannot guarantee that. In the meantime, we have provided links to the IRS website on all library computers so forms and instructions can be accessed online at anytime. Or, if you would prefer to access the IRS website from home, the URL is: https://www.irs.gov/
The State of Minnesota is not planning on providing print tax forms or instruction booklets to the library again this year. Therefore, the library plans to print off a few instruction booklets after the filing season opens on Jan. 27 for check-out. The library will provide a link to the Minnesota Department of Revenue website on all library computers so that forms and instructions can be accessed and printed out at any time. Or, if you would prefer to access the MN Department of Revenue’s website from home, the URL is: https://www.revenue.state.mn.us/
Silver Bay Public Library:
Recycle, Repurpose, and Restyle with Mary Mulari
The Arrowhead Library System is pleased to present Recycle, Repurpose, and Restyle, a free program being offered for teens and adults:
Saturday, Jan. 25, 1 p.m. Two Harbors Public Library
Tuesday, Jan. 28, 6 p.m. Silver Bay Public Library
Downsize your collections and “stuff” as you collect ideas for recycling household textiles and vintage linens, including Grandma’s doilies. Turn tablecloths, t-shirts and thrift shop treasures into contemporary heirlooms and useful accessories. Learn Mary’s laundering/whitening tips and how, with basic sewing skills or fabric glue, to create special gifts with priceless memories attached. This free hour-long program is for young to mature adults and anyone interested in reusing household textiles.
This program, sponsored by Arrowhead Library System, was funded in part or in whole with money from Minnesota’s Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.
Celebrate Winter Reading!
Friday, Jan. 31 at 1 p.m. the Silver Bay Public Library will host a program called Exploring Crystals. Crystals are all around us. When they form into solids, they become things like table salt, pencil lead, sugar and snowflakes. Discover the beautiful world of crystals and then see how you can create your own dazzling crystal art. All ages are welcome.
