What do a Pokemon, mythical creatures, a music festival and a biologist have in common? They're all subjects of the various temporary works of art aligning Waterfront Drive after last weekend's Chalk.A.Lot festival in Two Harbors.
"You could walk down the halls of the Museum of Modern Art in New York and not see the same amount of variety you see here in just two blocks," said Steven Hanson, a local artist who's taken part in Chalk.A.Lot for the past several years. "You have artists of different ranges of ability and the variety of subjects is just incredible."
The artwork starts on the corner of Third Avenue and Waterfront Drive and runs to Second Avenue. It will last as long as the rain holds out.
