This year's "One Book Northland" pick is the tale of a future wizard with horrible relatives and mad Quidditch skills.

The group read, which will include themed events, is "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone" by J.K. Rowling. The family-friendly novel was No. 3 on PBS's "2018 Great American Read." This is the 18th year of the program.

Tie-in events - like trivia and a kid's book club, movie screenings, a Harry Potter escape room and more - will be held in April at the Duluth, Cloquet, Superior and Two Harbors public libraries, Barnes & Noble, the Bookstore at Fitger's, the Duluth Depot and Zenith Bookstore.
