The North Shore Rotary Club hosted “Light Up the Park” on Thursday, Dec. 5, in Two Harbors' Thomas Owens Park.

The park was decorated with many strands of lights and bonfires provided warmth and marshmallows for toasting. The club also provided hot cocoa, chili and more.

Elves distributed jingle bells to excited children while they waited in line to sit on Santa Claus’ lap. Parents took photos of children with St. Nick while listening to the music of the McCullough Brothers.

Sled dogs from Points Unknown were on hand to pet while horses Hank and Henry from Positive Energy Outdoors pulled a wagon through the streets surrounding the park on free carriage rides.
