In case you're not a rise-and-shine shopper, a farmers market has opened Thursday evenings in the parking lot of the Lake County Chamber of Commerce, 1330 Minnesota Highway 61, Two Harbors.
From 3-6 p.m., the Two Harbors Farmers Market is open to sell soap, produce and canned goods.
Syrup and jelly vendors Bill and Mary Schiller of Brimson said they like the market because it adds another day to their schedule.
"We're in Brimson, then Ely and here and it's been a great time so far," Mary Schiller said.
Organizer Bianca Seay of Little Chili Farm said the market opened on the lot this year after moving from the Bandshell Park location.
"We wanted to try something new and this provides a lot of easy parking and access," Seay said. "We're right along the highway, so people can stop in easily."
Julie Highmark of New Leaf Goods makes goat milk soap and sells it at the market. She said she appreciates the time of the market as her business is more of a hobby. She works as a nurse practitioner and makes soap from milk she receives from Seay on the side.
Seay said she hopes to see the market grow in the future.
