An estimated 3,200 people attended the Lake County Fair in Two Harbors on Aug. 16-19, according to organizer Rachel Bailey.

"We actually broke an attendance record on Friday," Bailey said. "But then we saw less people on Saturday and Sunday, so it was about normal overall."

Bailey credits dry weather for the Fair's success.

"That never happens. It's so rare to not have it rain on us at the Fair, but it really helped," Bailey said.

Lake County residents Coral McMahon and Morris Manning were named winners of the 2018 Outstanding Senior Citizen Award at the Lake County Fair.
