Silver Bay celebrated Bay Days July 12-14.
The Bay Days parade Friday, July 12, kicked off a weekend of events. This year's theme was "Christmas in July" and the winning parade floats embraced the theme.
In first place was a float by the French family that featured a 7-foot Dr. Seuss inspired Grinch wooden cutout and a few children dressed as "Whovians."
Second place went to the elves and Santa-capped members of the William Kelley Schools Alumni.
Third place was given to the North Shore Adventure Park for being a new and noteworthy addition to the community.
Children's activities and fireworks followed the parade.
