About 40 volunteers turned out Saturday, April 20, for the annual Earth Day (a few days early) cleanup event.
Volunteers spread out to pick up a variety of discarded trash along the Skunk Creek bed, Burlington Bay, near Lake View Hospital and on the bike trails by Super One. Volunteers Doug Haus and Seth Christensen drove around picking up the trash with their trucks.
This is the fifth year of the event organized by Lake County Soil and Water Conservation District and Castle Danger Brewery. Castle Danger's "Team Danger" group, which performs "dangerously good deeds" around the region, spearheaded the event, but volunteers of all ages joined in the effort.
