Two Harbors swim team tops Section 7A at true team meet

The Two Harbors swim team has raced three times in the past five days. It should come as no surprise that they were the winners in all three meets, but the real accomplishment was coming out on top of all Section 7A teams at the True Team meet and advancing to the state meet, taking place at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities tomorrow.

In addition, last Thursday, they defeated the Superior Spartans at home and on Tuesday, they beat the "south" teams by combining with the other "north" teams in the section.

At the home meet against Superior, records fell for the relay team of sophomore Julia McDonald, junior Leann Fynboh, junior Mara Boulanger and sophomore Marina Schreiner, who broke the previous pool record in the medley relay.

Following the True Team state meet this weekend, they will host Chisolm next Thursday at 4 p.m. The Section 7A tournament then takes place Nov. 7-9 in Duluth.
