Volleyball: Two Harbors remains winless

Two Harbors remained winless this week after dropping a match to Proctor Tuesday in Two Harbors and another to Moose Lake-Willow River Aug. 31 in Moose Lake.

On Tuesday against Proctor, the Agates lost 25-14, 25-16 and 25-20. Brenna Gelineau had 12 digs and three ace serves and Tori Bott had five kills for Two Harbors.

Against Moose Lake-Willow River, Two Harbors lost 25-15, 25-20 and 25-10. Gelineau had 15 digs against the Rebels and Bott had six digs.

Two Harbors (0-4) played South Ridge Thursday, too late for the News-Chronicle's deadline, and will play Esko at 7 p.m. Sept. 14 at home.

Mariners lose two

The Silver Bay volleyball team lost two matches last week.

On Aug. 28, the Mariners lost to South Ridge in three sets with scores of 25-23, 25-20 and 27-25. On Aug. 31, Cromwell-Wright defeated the Mariners in four sets with scores of 20-25, 25-16, 25-21 and 25-12.

Silver Bay played McGregor Thursday, too late for the News-Chronicle's deadline, and will play Esko at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at home.
