Two Harbors girls' basketball awards

The Two Harbors High School girls' basketball season came to a close with a banquet on March 20 in the high school cafeteria.

The coaches recognized seven players for their dedication to the program with Senior Awards. The outgoing players are Lucy Bukowski, Sasha Fjeran, Steph McGregor, Lacey Myrdal, Kaley Peterson, Christina Stuberud, and Stephanie Valenzuela of Mexico.

Lacey Myrdal was named to the Polar League Conference Honorable Mention Team.

Sasha Fjeran and Kaley Peterson were recognized by the Couches Association with Academic All State awards and the team earned Academic Silver overall.

Other awards were voted on by players and coaches:

-Most Valuable Players: Lacey Myrdal and Lucy Bukowski

-Offensive Player of the Year: Lacey Myrdal

-Defensive Player of the Year: Lucy Bukowski

-Spirit and Sportsmanship Award: Kaley Peterson

-Rookie of the Year: Lane Schraufnagel

-Most Improved Player: Holly Nowacki

The players and coaches thank everyone who came out to support the team this year.
