The Two Harbors Public Library hosted its first "Meet the Candidates" event Monday, Oct. 29.

Several candidates on the Tuesday, Nov. 6, ballot attended to speak with residents one-on-one.

Candidates for District 3B state representative, Mary Murphy and Keith MacDonald, were there to answer questions about their views on state issues.

Two Harbors City Council candidates for Ward 1, Miles Woodruff and Uriah Hefter, answered questions about their views on the city, as did at large candidates Jackie Rennwald and Zach Anderson and unopposed Ward 2 candidate Ben Redden.

City Finance Director Miranda Pietila explained the question on the ballot about the half-percent city sales tax increase to support infrastructure needs.
