One Watershed, One Plan presentation for AKRW
The Lake County Soil and Water Conservation District will give a presentation about its One Watershed, One Plan work and how it will affect the Knife River.
The presentation by SWCD district manager Dan Schutte will be at 6 p.m Wednesday at the Duluth Town Hall, 6092 Homestead Rd. Schutte will give an overview of the watershed management planning process and take a look at specific targeted and prioritized actions for the Knife River watershed.
There will also be a presentation on spruce budworm activity in the Knife River watershed by Tim Byrns, district forester for SWCD.
Doors open at 6 p.m. for refreshments and conversations. This event is sponsored by Advocates for the Knife River Watershed. AKRW is a non-profit organization committed to learning about the river and promoting policies and practices that enhance the Knife River ecosystem.
