Storage, shipping containers could require permit

Did you know that a storage shipping container requires a land use permit through the Lake County Planning and Zoning Department?

Shipping containers, storage containers and all other structures more than 3 feet in height that are going to be on the property for more than 30 days require a land use permit and must meet the structure setbacks of your zoning district.

For more information regarding local land use regulations or to obtain a land use application, contact the Lake County Planning and Zoning Department at (218) 834-8327, visit the website at www.co.lake.mn.us or stop by the office between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday at the Lake County Courthouse in Two Harbors.
