Michael Nordean of Two Harbors was among more than 1,100 students from Rochester Community and Technical College who made the dean's list for the fall semester ending this past December. To qualify for the dean's list, a student must complete 12 or more letter-graded credits in the same semester and achieve a GPA of 3.0 or higher.

Jessica Lynn Anderson of Two Harbors was named to the fall semester dean's list at Iowa State University. To receive the honor a student must have earned a GPA of 3.5 or higher while carrying a minimum of 12 credit hours of graded coursework.

Danielle L. DeNeui of Two Harbors was named to the fall semester honor roll at Oregon State University. To receive the honor a student must have earned a 3.5 GPA or higher and carry at least 12 graded hours of coursework.

Kiersten West Rohde of Two Harbors was named to the fall semester dean's list at St. Cloud State University. To receive the honor a student must have earned a GPA of 3.75 or higher.

Daniel Anderson and Sara Schield, both of Two Harbors, were named to the fall semester dean's list at the University of Wisconsin-Superior. To receive the honor a student must earn a GPA of 3.5 or higher and have completed 12 degree-seeking semester credits.

Mara Christensen of Two Harbors received the Romilly Jean Cassida Memorial Scholarship from the University of Minnesota-Morris. The scholarship supports new full-time students, including transfer students, who show academic promise. The award may be renewed for three additional years with satisfactory progress.

Annie Guiney of Two Harbors was named to the fall semester dean's list at Winona State University. To receive the honor, a student must be enrolled full time and achieve a minimum GPA of 3.5.

Lake Superior School District received $2,433 in grants to support locally-designed projects to enhance and strengthen coordination of learning experiences from preK to third grade. The grant was funded by the Minnesota department of Education using federal funding.
