A Two Harbors man was arrested in December on several drug charges after the Two Harbors Police Department raided his home.
Ryan Dale Wick, 40, is charged with two felonies: first-degree possession and fourth-degree sale of methamphetamine.
According to the criminal complaint, just after 4 p.m. Dec. 18, THPD officers executed a warrant to search Wick's Two Harbors residence and vehicle for evidence of the sale and possession of controlled substances.
After entering Wick's residence — a basement bedroom in his parents' home on 12th Avenue in Two Harbors — officers found drug paraphernalia on a wooden cabinet that had a white residue on it. Inside the cabinet, officers found a substantial amount of clear crystalline substance in a cup and a clear bindle bag in the cabinet. The substance tested positive for meth. There were also empty bindle bags and a digital scale — both commonly used in the sale of controlled substances.
Officers searched the bedroom and located approximately 96.1 grams of meth, several hypodermic needles, glass smoking devices, scales and $3,246 in cash.
During his arrest, Wick reportedly told officers he has used meth for approximately 18 years and consumes approximately 1 gram per day. Wick also admitted to selling meth to close friends. He will purchase an ounce at a time — a little more than 28 grams. The most he sells at one time is about an "8-ball," a common term for about 3.5 grams.
Wick posted a $75,000 bond Jan. 11 and is scheduled to appear in court Feb. 5 in Two Harbors.
