Learn about proposed Two Harbors projects at open house
The City of Two Harbors will host a public open house Tuesday, Dec. 5, to provide information and answer questions regarding the proposed 2018-2022 Capital Improvement Plan (CIP).
The open house will be from 7-8 p.m. at the Two Harbors Community Center; residents are encouraged to stop by anytime. City staff and elected city officials will be available to answer residents' questions.
No City Council action will be taken at the open house.
The purpose of the open house is for the community to become more familiar with the CIP, the city's special assessment policy and the Minnesota Statute Chapter 429 process for special assessment. The open house will allow residents to see what street, alley and infrastructure projects are planned for the next five years. The city may use feedback from the open house for future projects.
The open house will not focus on the specifics of the proposed 2018 projects, but staff will be on hand to answer general questions about those projects.
A formal public hearing on the proposed 2018 street, alley and infrastructure projects will be scheduled January or February. All affected property owners will be notified separately at least 10 days prior to the hearing.
For questions about the CIP or open house, contact City Administrator Dan Walker at (218) 834-5631 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
