With lights shining bright Monday night as the judges of the annual Holiday Lighting Contest made their way through Two Harbors to choose the winners.

Judge Ruth Rabold once again said there were many houses that weren't entered into the contest, but had amazing lights displayed. People are encouraged every year to enter themselves or their neighbors into the contest. There were more than a dozen entries this year, but there were no ties.

The winners are:

• 1st Place — Todd Cullen at 2481 Highway 2

• 2nd Place — Craig Jussila at 1704 Seventh Ave

• 3rd Place — Jamie and Nadine Uremovich at 323 Third Ave

Noteworthy honorable mentions were awarded to the Seventh Avenue Segog neighborhood, once again, and the houses on the 600 block of Laura Lane.

The Holiday Lighting Contest is sponsored by the Lake County News-Chronicle and the Two Harbors Area Chamber of Commerce.
