Graylan Sinderman turned one year old on Monday, May 19. He celebrated his birthday on Sunday at a pool party at AmericInn with family and daycare friends. Happy first birthday, Graylan!

Get well wishes go out to Eleanor Elmstrom in Forest Lake. She took a terrible fall on Mother’s Day and will have a slow recovery.

Zion Lutheran Church will be holding a Memorial Day service at Crystal Bay Township on Sunday, May 25 at 9:30 a.m. Zion will also hold its regular worship service at 11 a.m. Coffee fellowship will be at 10 a.m.

On Saturday, June 7, a fundraiser dance and concert will be held at the Clair Nelson Center featuring the Spruce Roots. Appetizers/tapas will be available at 6:30 p.m., and music will begin at 7:30 p.m. The cost is $25 for music and food. Please RSVP to 218-353-0300 by May 30.

On June 18 there will be a Northern Minnesota Lost Towns presentation at the Clair Nelson Center featuring author Rhonda Fochs. The event will begin at 6:30 p.m., at the Clair Nelson Center and will include Forest Center, Sawbill Landing, Taconite Harbor, Mineral Center, Pigeon River, Cramer and many, many more.

It is hard to believe that Memorial Day weekend is here. Good luck to all the fisherman and hope we have nice weather. Let summer begin!
