Pets of the Week for Aug. 14

Maddox the dog1 / 2
Pepper the dog2 / 2

Maddox is a 6-month-old male black Labrador retriever available for adoption through Animal Allies Humane Society in Duluth. He's an outgoing, happy-go-lucky puppy with lots of energy. Maddox is friendly and loves to play with tennis balls. He's reported to be house trained and used to being left in a crate while his humans are away from home. It's also said that he gets along well with kids and other dogs.

An adoption fee is required for all adoptions. Animal Allies uses the "Meet your Match" adoption program designed by the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. The program evaluates an animal's behavior and interests and matches them to an adopter's preferences so you take home a pet you really click with. Call (218) 722-2110 or go to for more information.

Pepper is a 3-year-old boxer mix available for adoption through Precious Paws Humane Society in Chisholm. She is full of energy and needs a home with a fenced-in yard, or with lots of room to run.

An adoption fee is required for all adoptions. Call (218) 254-3300, e-mail or go to for more information.
