An open house was held on Saturday at the Clair Nelson Center in honor of Lila Hangartner’s 100th and Ruth Himes’s 95th birthdays. It was also a nice family reunion time. Those that came from outside the surrounding area were Mike Pounds of California; Ginger and Paul Tolzmann of Maple Grove; Bob and Linda Albert of White Bear Lake; Joe, Gina and Marissa Dufaul of Kasson; Bette, Kevin, Lori, John and Josh Pounds of Boerne, Texas; Jean Cook, Debbie, Robert, Danielle and Jamie VanderZwaag, Nicole Lofgren, Zach Harthan and baby, all of Holland, Mich.; Josh, Julie and Ava Arnold of Waconia; Edie Michalski and her sister Peggy and Tom Nikula of Duluth; Lori Driscoll of Moose Lake; and Eugene Himes of Japan.

Fred Edgar of the Twin Cities visited with longtime friend Eugene Himes on Friday. Eugene returned to Japan on Monday.

Remember the farmers market every Friday evening from 5-7 p.m. at the Clair Nelson Center.
