Dinosaurs at the Library! July 8 -12 is dinosaur week at the Two Harbors Public Library. On Monday, July 8, at 3:30 p.m., the Minnesota Science Museum will visit us, bringing dinosaur fossils and a life-size dinosaur skeleton puzzle. Then on Tuesday at 2:30 p.m., we will show a dinosaur movie. Thursday, July 11, at 2:30 p.m., we will have a dinosaur-themed story time, followed by a dinosaur craft at 3:00 p.m. What an exciting week for us!

New Library Service: E-Magazines! The Arrowhead Library System has purchased a subscription to Zinio, an e-magazine vendor, to make electronic magazines available to you, the public, at no cost. We have access to 89 titles, covering a variety of topics from outdoors and sports to entertainment and fashion. Some titles you might recognize from the print copies on the library's shelves, but the vast majority will be new! These electronic magazines will be accessible from just about any internet-connected device. Stop by the library to learn more!

The Friends of the Two Harbors Public Library is hosting the Restoration Raffle. All of the proceeds will go toward restoring the Two Harbors Public Library, including new seating, new computers, new shelving, new carpeting, fresh paint, and refinished windows. The raffle prizes are a heart quilt by Louise Fransen, a Blue Skies glass sculpture by Michael Tonder, a lacewood plate by Tom Koehler, and a pottery bowl by Dick Cooter. The quilt can currently be seen hanging in the library; we have pictures of the other prizes, although the items themselves are not currently on display. Tickets are $5 each and can be purchased from the library front desk, from one of the Friends of the Library, or from a number of participating local businesses.
