Judge William E. Scott of Two Harbors was author of a biography of John Beargrease that Scott's great nephew is trying to have published. Scott was inducted into the Ojibwe Tribe at Fort William, Ontario, as Chief Brown Beaver in 1942. Scott published several books but died in 1962 without publishing the Beargrease manuscript.
