May snow? There are seeds to sow!

It seems everyone is down as deep as a seed can get under piles of dirty snow.

That doesn't mean you can't get your summer garden going indoors. Once again, your library is here to help. The library's collection of gardening books takes you from seed through harvest.

Right now isn't a bad time to learn about starting seeds indoors, pruning, composting or just fantasizing about what your garden can be. Whether you like to garden in pots, sit, squat, stand-up, or garden in a greenhouse, these methods and more are explained in the gardening section at your library. Even if you're not quite ready to start your garden, this is the area of your library where you can find a little respite.

A sampling of gardening books available for checkout:

· Creative propagation by Peter Thompson.

· Dirr's Hardy trees and shrubs by Michael A. Dirr.

· Gardening in your greenhouse by Mark Freeman

· Organic gardening in cold climates by Sandra

· Ortho's all about greenhouses.

· Ortho's all about pruning by Judy Lowe.

· P. Allen Smith's living in the garden home

· Soul of soil by Grace Gershuny

· Stand up and garden by Mary Moss-Sprague

· The complete compost gardening guide by Barbara Pleasant

Ebooks for Children!

We've all been hearing about how you can get ebooks for adults. Well, we have ebooks for kids, too! So whether your young reader likes Harry Potter or Curious George, there's sure to be something to capture his interest. Ebooks can be read on Kindles, Nooks, Ipads, smartphones, or even on a computer. Children today have grown up in a world of technology, and it's only natural that they would use technology for reading as well. So the next time you and your child are stuck waiting in line or at a doctor's office, try a children's ebook, and turn downtime into family bonding time.
