On Monday, June 9, beginning at 3 p.m., Emily’s will serve a spaghetti dinner. There will also be a cash bar and music throughout the evening. Donations will be collected with proceeds going to help rebuild Kendall’s.
June 14 Stepping out to Cure Scleroderma Walk fundraiser
The Duluth Scleroderma Support Group of the Scleroderma Foundation will hold its 12th annual Stepping Out to Cure Scleroderma Walk on June 14. This year the 1.5 mile walk will take place in Two Harbors in honor of Paul Bergman and Jeanette Durkee, both of whom were diagnosed with the chronic, auto-immune disease in 1998. Both have since passed away, but monies raised will be used to help current patients and increase awareness of this little-known illness.
The walk starts at the Two Harbors Community Center at 10:30 a.m., rain or shine, with registration at 9:30 a.m. The registration fee is $25.
For more information call Carole Berg at 218-721-3940 or Jan Bergman at 218-830-1389. Walkers can also register online by visiting www.scleroderma.org/steppingouttwoharbors
