Northern Lights: Oct. 26-On-going events
Emera Chapter No. 160, the Eastern Star, will have its Circus Friendship meeting at 7:30 p.m. at Two Harbors Masonic Lodge. Dress in a circus costume.
Chicago singer-songwriter Andrew D. Huber comes to Dunnigan's Pub in Two Harbors to play songs from his recent album, Seagull, a rich collection of catchy hooks, thoughtful lyrics and great guitar playing from 9 to 11 p.m.
The Knife River Recreation Council is sponsoring an informational meeting regarding a planned timber sale on land along the Knife River and the Superior Hiking Trail spur between Shilhon Road and Hawk Hill Road at 7 p.m. at the Knife River Recreation Center. Representatives from the St. Louis County forestry department will be present to discuss the current state of the forest, the plans for the logging, and the plans for reforestation.
The Two Harbors High School choirs will present the annual variety show featuring music from Tony Award winning musicals. Performances will be held at 7 p.m. in the high school auditorium. Thursday evening will feature performances by middle school students and senior high school students will perform both Thursday and Friday evening. Donations will be accepted at the door. "Hairspray", "A Chorus Line", "Lion King", "In the Heights", "Sound of Music", "Billy Elliot", "42nd Street" and "Rent" are just some of the musicals that will be featured during the performances.
The North Shore Rotary Club sponsors the Two Harbors Area Interact Club each Tuesday morning. The club has approximately 30 members and meets at 7:15 a.m. each Tuesday at Black Woods Restaurant.
