Ned Starry Lundberg

Ned Starry Lundberg of Two Harbors, completed his Earthly Journey on Flag Day June 14, 2014.

Born June 22, 1928 to John W. (Fritz) and Ida ( Starry) Lundberg in Two Harbors.

He was a Navy and Army Veteran, lifetime member of the VFW, American Legion and Moose.

Ned held various positions in his lifetime as Heavy Equipment Operator, Auto Sales and Manager of the VFW Post 4454 for many years.

He also was a pilot earlier in his life, loved fishing Big Winnie and Lake Superior, hunting at the shack named "After You", singing a good ole Irish tune, bowling, but his true passion was golf.

Preceded into Heaven by his parents, wife Janice, siblings and grandson Benjamin Scott Jones,

Ned is survived by his daughter Sheree Kay Jones son-in-law Jeff (Flash), sons Danny, Patrick, Mike and Peter, grandsons Jerod, Cody and Jeris, brother Peter.

At Neds request there will be a private military burial at Lakeview Cemetery in Two Harbors August 4 at 12 Noon.

Our family would like to thank Dode Dugas, Bill Anderson, Ron Ryan and Shawn MacMahon for every kind act to allow him his independence of being at home.
