Low-interest disaster loans available for residents, businesses in flooded areas
Wisconsin and Minnesota residents and businesses affected by June's severe storms and flooding can apply for low-interest disaster loans from the U.S. Small Business Administration.
The loans are available to residents and businesses in Carlton, Pine
and St. Louis counties in Minnesota and Bayfield, Burnett, Douglas, Sawyer and Washburn counties in Wisconsin.
Loans up to $200,000 are available to homeowners to repair or replace damaged or destroyed real estate; homeowners and renters are eligible for loans up to $40,000 to repair or replace damaged or destroyed personal property.
SBA's customer service representatives can answer questions about the disaster loan program at the Disaster Loan Outreach Center in the Superior Business Center Inc., 1423 N. Eighth St., Superior. The office closes at the end of the day Aug. 9.
