On the hunt

Last Monday Brian and Ray Meglic, father and son, stopped at the News-Chronicle office in Two Harbors to show off the 13-point buck Brian shot. The two men had wrestled the deer onto the roof of their vehicle and were on their way to Duluth to have it weighed. They estimated its weight at 200 pounds. The deer was harvested in Lake County, but Brian slyly avoided identifying the exact spot. "North of town" was the only clue he offered.1 / 3
