Human Development Center Receives $15,000 Gift from Wells Fargo

HDC Executive Director Jim Getchell ( left) accepts a $15,000 check from Matt Cochran, Wells Fargo Business Relations Manager and Scott Bradt, Wells Fargo Business Banking President for Duluth.

On Monday the Human Development Center received a $15,000 donation from Wells Fargo to fund upgrades to HDC’s facilities. The donation will allow the agency to update therapy rooms and improve waiting areas that serve its clients.

“Having a relaxed and calming lobby area is important to HDC, as we want our focus of comfort to resonate throughout our buildings and our staff,” said Jim Getchell, HDC Executive Director. “Most of our clients are visiting us due to unmanageable stress and difficulty in their lives. Once they decide to seek out behavioral health services, we want to ensure that the space that they are in feels inviting, comfortable and soothing.”

HDC provides mental health and addiction services to residents in Lake, Carlton, Cook, and southern St. Louis counties in northeastern Minnesota, and Douglas County in northwestern Wisconsin. It has an office in downtown Two Harbors
