Earl Udenberg 69, of Two Harbors, died Monday, March 16, 2009 at St. Luke's Hospital in Duluth.
He was born September 13, 1939 to Clifford and Hazel (Thorson) Udenberg in Two Harbors. Earl grew up in Two Harbors, and Lougheed, Alberta, his mother's hometown. As a young man he returned to Two Harbors and was employed at Vern's Texaco for several years and then served in the US Army. Earl married RuthAnn Martinson on February 14, 1961. He was employed by Benna Ford, Reserve Mining, North Shore Steel, and Husky Hydraulics. Earl then became self employed and operated Earl's Landscaping and Welding for many years. He enjoyed his work, teaching others to weld, and motorcycling.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Earl is survived by his wife RuthAnn, sons, Mark (Sheila) and Neil (Sue) both of Two Harbors; daughter, Nikki (Travis) Ray of Trabuco Canyon, CA; brothers, Harold, Howard (Carole), Floyd (Shirley), and Eugene "Sonny" (Sharon), all of Two Harbors, grandchildren, Courtney and Brandon, step grandchildren, Jesse, Sara, Cody, Amber, and Casey, step great-grandchildren, Jenna, Ryan, and Lucas; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 10 AM until the 11 AM Service Friday March 20, 2009 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Two Harbors. Arrangements by Cavallin Funeral Home.
